The Beginning

Hello everyone! I have done this blog thing before but tend to get caught up in the web of my life and don't stay consistent on my blogging. My family is the most important thing to me and as such will always come before my blogging. And now for the good stuff. I just recently got remarried and moved into the 1300 square foot home of my new husband and his former wife. I also got another 4 kids with this union which means that every other weekend and sometimes more.. I have 8 wild ruffians running and playing and sleeping in this house. With all those kids... money tends to be elasive at times. Lucky for me... it seems that money has always been scarce but creativity or Kreativity has been abundant! So.. here is the journey of making this house my home... transforming the old to the new and maybe a few random thoughts in between. Enjoy!
This was the first project that I started with. As you can see... (sorry no comma button) the moulding has some serious "love" done to it. What I did was take a white crayon and "colored" the molding pretty forcefully to fill the holes. There are some holes that are to big to fill with a crayon but for the most part it is a great way to fill in scratches in molding or any other wood. I have even used a crayon to fill holes and scratches that my kids have put into bunk beds and dressers. Then once it is filled... lightly sand and paint.
